THE PLANE

John flies the world famous Staudacher S-300D which was hand-crafted by John Staudacher. The Staudacher was built for world-class unlimited aerobatics and has competed in several world contests in many foreign countries. The Staudacher is very light-weight and is built with an all tubular and wood makeup which allows the airplane to weigh in at 1250 lbs. The Staudacher is powered by a Lycoming A10-540 delivering  more than 300 hp and has the latest Wide Cord MT three bladed propeller built to take the gyroscopic maneuvers.

The Pilot - John Klatt

In 1995 John began giving serious thought to enhancing his flying career in a non-traditional aviation role as a professional aerobatic performer.  Early involvement in competitive aerobatics lead to participation in unlimited class aerobatic competitions where John gained valuable experience and recognition via numerous national and regional wins. In 2000, John established himself as a profession air show performer.

John brings to John Klatt Airshows, Inc. 21 years of aviation experience. Sixteen of those years have been as a major with the Air National Guard, where he has flown C-130 turboprop transport aircraft around the planet and the F-16 Fighting Falcon in air support and combat roles. John also maintains the role of first officer with a major U.S. commercial
